Unilet Sound & Vision, one of south west London’s premier hi-fi and home cinema retailers, will be holding an exhibition of rare photographs by leading rock photographer, Ross Halfin, as part of their Xpo Open Day on Saturday 10th July. The Unilet Xpo is an annual event that takes place at the company’s New Malden showrooms. An opportunity for hi-fi, music and movie lovers to experience the latest and greatest products available, it is supported by many of the major manufacturers. This year’s event will feature: a Panasonic Full HD 3D TV and Blu-Ray demonstration the rarely heard B&W Nautilus loudspeakers the latest professional digital projector, the £30,000 C3X Lumis, from SIM2 Multimedia a demonstration of Yamaha’s new home cinema products and Leema Acoustics’ statement “Reference System”. Ross Halfin is one of the world’s leading rock photographers, having shot many of the greatest bands since the 1960s. His work has featured on many celebrated album covers, including the iconic Led Zeppelin IV and Paul Weller’s Stanley Road. Working with such acts as The Who, Iron Maiden, The Beatles and many more, Ross has toured the world countless times capturing, for posterity, some of the major events in music. A long standing customer of Unilet, Ross has kindly agreed to stage an exhibition of some of his work during the Xpo. Over 30 rare, and sometimes never before seen, photographs of The Rolling Stones, White Stripes, Iron Maiden, The Who, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, Paul Weller, The Clash, Amy Winehouse and others will be on display giving the music fan and photography lover a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this unique collection. …/ Live entertainment will be provided throughout the day by recording artists Spikedrivers, a renowned blues band who are presented in conjunction with the popular Brook’s Blues Bar, Putney. Having recently released their fourth album, Spikedrivers are one of the most original, innovative and exciting bands around, and are featured regularly on BBC Radio 2’s Paul Jones blues programme. Vinyl lovers can exercise their turntables with the thousands of rare, new and used records that will be on sale and refreshments will be available all day from the gourmet barbecue.
